The Off-White x Air Jordan 5 TD “Sail” is the toddler sizing of Virgil Abloh’s collaboration with Jordan Brand on Michael Jordan’s fifth signature shoe. Released in November 2020, the Off-White x Jordan 5 TD in the “Sail” colorway is the anticipated follow-up to the “Black” Jordan 5 imagined by Abloh and Off-White. The “Sail” is loosely based on the beloved “Fire Red,” an original design of the Jordan 5 from 1990. Like the first design, the upper displays exposed foam, mesh detailing, and a transparent film with die-cut circles placed randomly on the body and tongue. Industrial inspired styling appears on the Helvetica text on the medial side. The embroidered Jumpman on the silver reflective tongue and “23” logo on the heel display a Fire Red finish in reference to the look of Michael Jordan’s old Player Exclusive version. The “Nike Air” on the back of the shoe and the pre-yellowed sole achieve the vintage aesthetic of the shoe. Release date: October 24, 2020.
