The BAPE x adidas Superstar “Green Camo” is a neck-breaking collaboration between the Japanese streetwear brand and adidas on the low-top shoe. Since 2003, BAPE and adidas have been working together on incorporating BAPE”s singular street aesthetic into adidas’s core classic silhouettes, and this “Green Camo” edition of the Superstar is no exception to the sentiment. This instance finds elements of BAPE’s Bapesta model juxtaposed with adidas’s Superstar 80s silhouette for a retro inspired look. BAPE”s iconic First Camo print forms the base. A contrasting white leather Three Stripes logo appears on the lateral side of the left shoe and the Bapesta’s “Sta” appears in white leather on the lateral side of the right shoe. Both the adidas and A Bathing Ape branding on the left and right shoe are featured in gold foil. All logos and branding on the left shoe are for adidas while the right shoe is all BAPE. Specifically, embroidered adidas detailing appears on the back of the left shoe and “Bape Sta” on the right shoe. A gold BAPE lace dubrae is incorporated into the design on the laces on both feet.
